The southern beaches are better than the north.White sands a bit like benidorm hardly quiet. Worth a stop on the way to two of Thailands better islands Ko Kood and Ko Mak which rival Ko lipe as Thailands most beautiful.l live here so believe me
Just returned from Koh Chang. I heard it was a great place and had nice beaches. I've never seen so much trash on the beaches, like I did in Koh Chang. Every morning the resort (Dewa Rresort) had workers hauling off many, many bags of trash that washed ashore overnight. I know it was the off season but the water just seemed dirty. It's nothing like the southern islands like Phuket. It's stunning to look at from the ferry as you head out to the island. I went snorkeling on one of the wood boats and was very disappointment in the water clarity. I love Thailand and had made many visits there. I just wanted to be honest with anyone planning a trip to Koh Chang. If you want a place to just get away and avoid the crowds. Then Koh Chang is the place for you. This video looked nothing like the island I visited.
