I was There when it was -12 Degrees celcius
I was There 2 years ago
And there is a third kind; people who have been there and reminisce of going again!
No bears… Bear patrol must be working like a charm.

I don't know what to say, but this guy is, the best. Don't know how else to say it. He's honest, kind, everything good. Just don't know how to say what i want to say.
The accent is killing me
Solid place to run a marathon too
Is Tom Scott, old or young?… 🤔
Öuio
Tom, I don't know if you still hang around your old videos or not, but if you do: since gun carrying is mandatory in Svalbard, is it possible to purchase a gun for your time there and then sell it before leaving? (As opposed to the cumbersome business of checking firearms for an airline).
It's cool that it's so north but it seems kinda dull – just a simple landscape. I'll settle for Tromso.
would you say approx price for flights plus accommodation ,cool if not
YouTube : Hey what a great time to recommend a load of travel content! Me: …
Uhh actually, I can't "just go" because some people are afraid of the plague.
Your pronunciation of Longyearbyen is near native. Don’t worry
The name is actually english. Longyearbyen = Longyear City. Named after John Munro Longyear (An american.)
It's so cool watching this video after listening to Sam from Wendover talking about Svalbard in S2 of Extremities.
it looks like the country is running on low graphics 😀
There's flights, there's hotels… Yet you couldn't give us prices or estimates! Some how to video… 🙄
No dough it will be rather tricky to get there now, and at least for some time to come
Tom Scott went to Svalbard and the seed vault was only a minor footnote in the video. I'm slightly dissapointed, but still have my own bucketlist intact.
Wow thank you for sharing. My great-grandfather used to work there around 100 years ago.
I think I just like plants too much to find this place interesting

We'll I found out how crocs got popular again.
So Svalbard has better wifi than i do woo
If you go in the summer you can experience 24 hours of daylight. I used to live in Alaska, and I honestly miss the looong days. I do not miss the complete lack of sun in the winter.A quick Google search shows that Svalbard doesn't see the sun for about two months of the year.
5:23 The compression makes the water look like some shitty video game texture
I'm kinda dissapointed. I kinda wanted it to be super remote and cold and uninhabited. Maybe with a massive international prison or two.
5:07 I think the correct pronunciation is "glass-ear" smh
